Construct furniture frames to get ready for upholstery by assembling the parts such as top arm, leg rail, arm rail, skirt rail, back rail, front rail, and back. Frame parts are created on a CAD machine and given to the frame builder to assemble.

CAD / SOLIDWORKS FURNITURE DESIGNER

We are looking for an experienced CAD / SolidWorks Designer to join our furniture manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience creating detailed drawings and 3D models for furniture design and production and understands how furniture is engineered and built in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities • Create and revise 2D CAD drawings and 3D SolidWorks models • Develop production-ready furniture drawings and specifications • Create drawings for frames, components, assemblies, and parts • Work with product development and manufacturing teams to move designs from concept to production • Review dimensions, construction details, and manufacturability • Make design revisions based on prototypes and production needs • Maintain accurate drawings and technical documentation Qualifications • Professional experience with SolidWorks and CAD required • Furniture design, furniture engineering, or furniture manufacturing experience strongly preferred • Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, assemblies, and construction • Ability to read and create detailed technical drawings • Knowledge of upholstered furniture frame construction is a major plus • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Position: Full-Time Industry: Furniture Manufacturing If you have SolidWorks experience and understand how furniture goes from a drawing to the production floor, we’d like to hear from you.
